Refrigerator Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Duncan Hines cake mix (yellow) or 1 pound cake
    8 oz. sour cream
    1 c. sugar
    1 large pkg. frozen coconut
    1 large tub Cool Whip
Preparation
    Make cake as per directions. After it cools, slice each layer in half (4 pieces).
    Mix the next 3 ingredients; using half of this mixture, spread between layers.
    Take the other half of mixture and mix with Cool Whip and frost entire cake.
    Keep refrigerated.
