Corn And Sausage Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sausage meat
1 large onion, chopped
3 large potatoes, sliced
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. water
1 can cream-style corn
1 can whole kernel corn
1 tall can evaporated milk
Preparation

Shape sausage into a large patty and brown 5 minutes on each side.
Drain off fat and break into pieces.
Put sausage into a kettle.
Return 2 tablespoons of fat to the pan and saute the onions.
Stir in potatoes, salt, pepper, basil and water.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Stir in corn and corn liquid and evaporated milk.
Cover and heat almost to boiling.
Serve with French bread.
