Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. finely chopped onion
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    32 oz. pkg. frozen loose packed hash brown potatoes
    1 c. corn flakes, crushed with 1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, chicken soup, sour cream, chopped onion, 1/4 cup melted butter, salt and pepper; mix well.
    Fold in thawed hash brown potatoes.
    Pour mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Crush corn flakes and 1 tablespoon melted butter.
    Sprinkle over the potato mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until golden brown and potatoes are tender.
