Festive Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope Knox gelatine, mixed in 1 c. water
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. water
    3 egg yolks
    1 1/2 c. pumpkin
Preparation
    Put first 5 ingredients together in double boiler.
    Stir in remaining ingredients in boiler and mix well.
    Cook over boiling water, stirring, until gelatine dissolves and mixture is heated (10 minutes).
    Remove from heat; chill until mixture mounds when dropped from spoon.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Beat 1/4 cup sugar.
    Fold in pumpkin mixture; put in baked shell.
    Serve with whipped cream.
