Carrot Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. carrots
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. rum or brandy
Preparation
    Cut carrots
    like French fries and about 3-inches long. Add all ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Simmer until carrots are tender.
    Cook, uncovered, a while to thicken sauce.
