Ingredients

1/2 c. pie mix
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Mix pie mix, sugar and milk until smooth.
Place over medium-low heat.
Stir frequently for 10 minutes.
Lower heat and cook 10 more minutes.
Stir constantly until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons butter. Beat with electric mixer for 10 minutes, starting on low and gradually increasing to high speed. Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour at once into buttered 8-inch square pan and cut into squares. Yields 2 dozen squares.
