Down Home Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 medium cabbage, cut into 6 wedges
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a 10-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
    Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
    Discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings from skillet.
    Add onion and saute until golden.
    Sprinkle in flour and sugar; stir until smooth.
    Stir in remaining ingredients, except cabbage.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Return bacon to skillet; keep warm.
