Watermelon Rind Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 melon rind (free of red and peeled)
    1 c. vinegar
    4 lb. sugar
    cloves
    cinnamon
    sweet pickling spices
Preparation
    Cover rinds with water and boil until clean.
    Drain thoroughly.
    Boil vinegar, sugar and spices wrapped in cheesecloth ball.
    Boil until clean, stirring occasionally.
    Pour over rinds. Each day for 9 days, drain syrup, bring to a boil and pour over rinds.
    On the 10th day, put in jars and process.
