Ice Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
    3/4 c. oleo or margarine
    4 sq. German sweet chocolate
    3 c. powdered sugar
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Mix together first 2 ingredients.
    Put in loaf cake pan and set aside.
    Melt the 3/4 cup oleo in saucepan and the 4 squares of chocolate.
    Take off heat and add 3 cups powdered sugar and egg yolks (beaten).
    Beat until well mixed.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold in chocolate mixture.
    Pour over crumbs and freeze. This mixture will not freeze hard.
    Soften 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream and spread over top and freeze until firm.
    Some crumbs may be kept for on top if desired.
    Cut in squares and serve.
