Karo Winter Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. green bell pepper, chopped
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. or 12 oz. can tomatoes, drained
    1/2 c. Karo
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder (I use more)
    1 bay leaf
    3 c. cooked shell macaroni or rice
    1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Brown meat, onion and green pepper in oil; drain.
    Add other ingredients.
    Add half of the cheese.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Put in casserole.
    Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    This freezes well.
