1 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. uncooked quick oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in oatmeal and nuts. Shape dough in a roll 2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in aluminum foil.
Place in freezer for 2 hours.
Cut dough in 1/4-inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
