Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes vanilla wafers
    8 bananas
    4 c. milk
    2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix in top of double boiler the milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla flavoring and egg yolks.
    Put aside egg whites for later use.
    Cook on medium heat until mixture thickens, stirring often. Beat egg whites; add sugar a little at a time until stiff.
    Layer in casserole dish the wafers, bananas, pudding.
    Makes 3 layers of each.
    Add meringue and brown in oven at 350\u00b0.
