Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2/3 c. light corn syrup
    6 drops food coloring
    1/2 tsp. desired flavoring
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and syrup.
    Boil to 290\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add desired flavoring and food color.
    Stir only until blended.
    Pour onto lightly oiled cookie sheet.
    Cool slightly and score in squares or cool completely and break into small pieces. Dust in powdered sugar.
    Store in covered jars.
