Butter Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
    6 eggs
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sour cream
    powdered sugar (optional)
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter until light with mixer.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Gradually add to sugar mixture and fold in sour cream, a little at a time, along with vanilla.
    Mix well or until combined.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes in a Bundt size pan or two loaf pans.
    When cool, garnish with powdered sugar.
