Boiled Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean corned beef
    4 small whole carrots
    1 c. turnip, diced
    4 potatoes, peeled
    4 cabbage wedges
    4 small onions
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cover corned beef with cold water and bring to a boil.
    Simmer in tightly covered pan for one hour.
    Add all vegetables except cabbage and simmer 1/2 hour longer.
    Add cabbage and cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
    Yield:
    8 servings.
    Carbohydrate 14 g, protein 21 g, fat 21 g, calories 284.
    One serving = 3 meat medium fat exchange, 1 bread starch exchange.
