White Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. navy or Great Northern beans
    1 ham hock
    3 stems celery, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cover beans with cold water and let stand overnight.
    Drain and add beans to ham hock, celery and onion.
    Cover with water and simmer until beans are tender.
    Press beans through sieve and remove fat and bone from ham hock.
    Put lean meat and beans back together and simmer until thick.
