Basic Cooked Lentils - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lentils
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 bouillon cubes
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring the ingredients to a boil; simmer for 20 minutes.
    Add tomato paste, onions, vegetables or cheese for more flavor.
    Serve plain or over rice.
