Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold milk
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. salt
    6 eggs, beaten
    3 tsp. vanilla
    3 pt. half and half
    3 to 4 c. whole milk
    chipped ice
    3 c. rock salt
Preparation
    Bring the sugar and water to a boil for 5 minutes.
    Soften the gelatin in the cold milk; stir until dissolved.
    Add the scalded milk to the gelatin mixture to dissolve.
    Add the sugar syrup, salt, eggs, vanilla, half and half and milk.
    Pour into a 1-gallon ice cream freezer.
    Use chipped ice and approximately 3 cups rock salt.
    Turn freezer until ice cream becomes stiff.
