Jelly Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. enriched flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    jelly of your choice
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking
    powder, sugar and salt into a large bowl. Put
    shortening
    into
    small
    skillet
    and\tmelt.
    Cool slightly. Beat egg
    until
    smooth;
    add milk, then add cooled shortening. Pour mixture into flour mixture.
    Stir only until dry ingredients are
    moistened.
    Line
    muffin tins with paper liners.
    Fill half with
    batter,
    add\ta
    teaspoon
    of jelly, finish covering with batter.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 400\u00b0.
