Creamy Ham Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. ham, cut in small cubes
    4 c. chopped broccoli (frozen), cooked and drained
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. flour
    6 c. milk
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Melt margarine and add onion.
    Saute until tender, but not brown.
    Blend in flour, then gradually stir in milk.
    Cook until smooth and creamy.
    Add drained broccoli, ham cubes and salt to taste.
    Simmer until thickened.
    Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
