Mother'S Chocolate Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (scant)
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. plus a little bit more white syrup
    4 c. onions, chopped in food grinder coarse
    2 red and 2 green or yellow bell peppers
    5 Tbsp. salt, sprinkled over mixture (5 plus)
    2 1/2 c. vinegar (apple cider)
    6 c. sugar or 5 1/2 plus 6 packets Equal sweetener
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
Preparation
    Add first 3 ingredients and boil 5 minutes.
    Continue to heat (low) while filling hot jars.
    Seal.
