Hartshorn Cut-Out Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. sugar
    5 tsp. hartshorn (buy this at drugstore)
    11 c. flour
    3 tsp. anise or almond flavor
Preparation
    Beat eggs.
    Cream butter and sugar and add to beaten eggs. Add flour and flavoring.
    Roll out on floured surface and cut out in Christmas shapes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Frost and decorate.
    (Hartshorn is a preservative and may be eliminated.)
