Swiss Corn Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. fresh corn, cut from cob or 2 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen corn or 2 lb. cans whole kernel corn
    1 (6 oz.) can (2/3 c.) evaporated milk
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 oz. process Swiss cheese, shredded (1 c.)
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
Preparation
    Cook fresh corn in 1 cup boiling salted water for 2 or 3 minutes or until tender; drain well.
    Combine corn, evaporated milk, egg, onion, salt and pepper and 3/4 cup of cheese.
    Turn into 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
    Toss bread crumbs with oleo or butter and the remaining cheese, 1/4 cup.
    Sprinkle over corn mixture.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 25 to 30 minutes. Garnish with green pepper rings.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
