Quick Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a small pan.
    Add brown sugar.
    Cook and stir over low heat until sugar melts.
    Add milk.
    Cool.
    Beat by hand, adding the confectioners sugar.
    Beat until smooth and thick enough to spread.
    Add vanilla.
