Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk (save 1/8 c.)
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    6 eggs (save 3 whites)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil milk, sugar and butter.
    Beat eggs with reserved milk and add vanilla.
    Pour hot mixture in egg mixture, beating constantly. Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake for 45 minutes or until firm at 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla.
    Beat again until stiff.
    Put on pie and brown in a 350\u00b0 oven.
