Ingredients

1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening (peanut butter)
1 egg, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. crushed pineapple
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Put brown sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla into a mixing bowl; mix until well blended.
Spoon pineapple, measure accurately, and blend into sugar mixture.
Sift together flour, soda and salt; stir into sugar mixture.
Mix walnuts and raisins into batter.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 about 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 3 dozen.
