Mother'S Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. cocoa
3 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour (plain)
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add well beaten eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and cocoa.
Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Bake in 9-inch cake pan for 20 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
