Homemade Gluten Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. gluten flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    4 onions, sliced
    1 c. brewer's yeast
    1 Tbsp. Savorex
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. water
    bread crumbs
Preparation
    Mix flour with just enough water to make a heavy dough.
    Place this ball of dough in a large bowl and completely cover with water.
    Let stand overnight.
    Wash dough under running water until water is nearly clear.
    If water is completely clear, the gluten tends to be tough.
    Pull gluten into pieces that are about 4 inches in diameter and very thin.
    Set aside.
