Eddie Mae'S Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 bunch turnips
1 piece fresh pork or small pkg. pig tails
1/4 c. bacon drippings
salt to taste
Preparation

Use a big pot.
Put 3 1/2 or 4 cups of water in it and boil meat for 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.
Wash bunch of turnips well while meat is boiling.
Put turnips into pot.
Bring to a boil, turn turnips over and stir.
Season with salt to taste. Turn heat down to medium.
Cook at least 1 1/2 hours, covered.
