Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    2 c. diced raw apples
Preparation
    Cover apples with sugar in a bowl; let stand for 20 minutes. Add egg, flour, baking soda, salt, oil and spices; mix well.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in a 6 x 10 x 2-inch glass bread pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    (If aluminum pan is used, add another 5 minutes.)
    Can be doubled.
    Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
