Hearty Vegetable Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (10 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth (undiluted)
2/3 c. water
4 c. frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 c. minced onion
1/4 c. minced green pepper
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Combine chicken broth and water in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Add mixed vegetables.
Cook 15 minutes until tender. Saute onion and pepper in Dutch oven until tender.
Blend in flour, paprika and mustard.
Gradually add milk, vegetables and broth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add cheese and pepper.
Stir until cheese melts.
Yield: 7 cups.
