Scalloped Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1 pt. raw oysters
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 lb. box saltines
    1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
    1/4 stick butter or oleo
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Heat milk
    to
    boiling\tpoint.\tAdd celery and let cook about 3 to 5 minutes until tender, but not mushy.
    Add oysters until they
    curl.
    Then
    crush
    saltines with fingers, not too fine. Add
    butter
    and
    grated cheese.
    Salt and pepper.\tLet cheese melt
    slowly,
    do
    not stir.
    When oysters curl, reduce heat to low until cheese melts.
    Serve while hot.
