Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. stew meat
3 Tbsp. bacon drippings or oil
1 lb. cabbage head
salt and pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 (20 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. A.1. sauce
1 apple, peeled and chopped
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. light brown sugar
4 c. water
Preparation

In a large stew pot brown meat in drippings.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 2 hours, adding water, if necessary.
