Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 egg yolks (reserve whites)
    2 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Cook in top of double boiler, stirring constantly, until custard sets or thickens.
    Cool.
    Slice 3 medium bananas into custard.
    Line bottom and sides of baking dish with vanilla wafers.
    Alternate layers of custard mix and vanilla wafers.
    Top with meringue.
