Anise Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cream (whipping or thick cream)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. lard
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. anise seed

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add 1 beaten egg and the cream. Mix in the remaining dry ingredients and add enough flour to be able to roll. Cut out the cookies and bake at 350\u00b0.
