Aunt Letha'S Harvest Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    16 oz. can frozen orange juice, thawed
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. mashed pumpkin
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Beat in eggs 1 at a time.
    Add pumpkin and orange juice.
    Add sifted dry ingredients; mix well. Add nuts.
    Pour in 4 one-pound coffee cans, greased and floured. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cans can be sealed and frozen. Serve plain or spread with cream cheese softened with pineapple juice.
