Edith Harris' Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 2/3 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. oleo
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, well beaten
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    In saucepan, add boiling water to cornmeal.
    Cook, stirring until mushy consistency.
    Remove from heat.
    Add sugar, baking powder, salt and oleo.
    Stir in milk and well beaten egg yolks. Fold in egg whites.
    Bake in greased 2-quart casserole at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Serves 6.
