Broccoli With Ziti Or Rigatoni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1 to 2 cloves garlic
    1 bunch broccoli, separated into florets and stems sliced into 1-inch pieces
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    2 bay leaves
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated Romano cheese
    1 lb. ziti or rigatoni
Preparation
    In a large pot, brown garlic in the oil until lightly brown (can slice or chop garlic as you prefer).
    Add 1 cup of water or chicken broth, the basil, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
    Let simmer about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add the broccoli and cook until al dente.
