Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. shelled, raw peanuts
3/4 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1/2 inch paraffin wax
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup, water and wax in a saucepan until it spins a thread. Add peanuts; stir. Cook until syrup is amber color, stirring constantly. When peanuts smell parched and temperature reaches 300\u00b0, remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter. Rapidly stir in soda and salt. Pour on greased cookie sheet. Spread with spoon. Cool and break into pieces.
