Applesauce Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. applesauce
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2/3 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix the first 5 ingredients together; beat with mixer while you measure the dry ingredients.
    Add the next 4 dry ingredients to the wet mixture; beat until smooth.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of sugar on top of batter. Sprinkle with a small amount of chocolate chips (about 2/3 of a 12-ounce package).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 35 to 45 minutes, or until done.
    Serve warm or cold.
