White Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
5 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream
shortening
and sugar.
Measure and sift all dry ingredients; mix alternately with shortening and sugar and the first 3/4
cup of milk.
When this is blended, add vanilla and remaining 1/4 cup milk.
Beat egg whites until very stiff; add remaining 1/2
cup\tof
sugar and fold into batter.
Bake as a layer cake\tor
a
sheet cake.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes. Cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
