California Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
    6 chicken breast halves, precooked and pulled off bones
    2 1/2 c. water or chicken broth
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
Preparation
    Sprinkle soup mix over bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle rice evenly over dry soup mix.
    Place chicken on top.
    Dilute mushroom soup with water or chicken broth and pour over chicken.
    Dot with butter and bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
