Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. salad oil
1 c. crushed cornflakes
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. regular oatmeal
1/2 c. flaked coconut
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream the margarine and sugar.
Add egg and mix well.
Add salad oil and continue to beat.
Add oatmeal, cornflakes and coconut, mixing well.
Add flour, salt, baking soda and vanilla and stir in the pecans.
Form mixture into balls the size of small walnuts and place on greased cookie sheet (12 to 15 on each cookie sheet).
Flatten with fork dipped in water.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
May sprinkle with sugar while warm, if desired.
