Mashed Potatoes And Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large turnips, peeled and cut in chunks
4 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
Preparation

Cook turnips, covered, in small amount of boiling salted water, for 10 minutes.
Add potatoes and onion and cook until tender.
Drain well.
Mash vegetables with butter, salt and pepper.
Adjust seasonings to taste.
Serve hot.
