Fig Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. fig preserves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually.
    Add eggs and blend until light.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and spices, alternating with milk to creamed mixture.
    Stir in mashed figs and pecans.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes in small greased muffin pan.
    Makes 24 muffins.
