Chocolate Crinkles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 sq. (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
1 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler.
In a large bowl, mix together oil and sugar.
Stir in melted chocolate.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla.
Stir in flour, salt and baking powder.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Prepare greased cookie sheets.
Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and then roll balls in confectioners sugar.
Place balls 1-inch apart on cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes or until cookies have white cracks on top showing chocolate beneath.
Cookies will crack on top.
Remove cookies to a wire rack to cool.
Yield:
7 dozen.
