Spice Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. diced apples
2 c. raisins
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco (not oil)
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. boiling water
3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Bring apples, raisins, sugar, Crisco, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and boiling water to a boil and boil for 15 minutes. Cool.
Add flour and soda. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done (glossy on top or until a toothpick comes out clean).
