Virginia Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add 3 eggs.
    Sift baking powder and flour together and add to egg and sugar mixture alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla.
    Add the remaining egg.
    Beat into the batter just a little to mix.
    Pour mixture into pan and set in refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Place in cold oven and set temperature to 275\u00b0.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Turn temperature up to 300\u00b0; bake 40 minutes.
