Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleo
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
5 egg whites, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream together oleo and shortening.
Add sugar; beat until smooth.
Add egg yolks; beat well.
Combine flour and soda, sift 3 times.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla, coconut and pecans.
Fold in egg whites.
Pour in 9 inch round pans and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until done. Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
