Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt (omit if using salted cashews)
3/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. butter or margarine
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped cashews
1 c. (4 oz.) chopped dates
Preparation

Combine butter and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Combine flour, soda and salt; add to butter mixture.
Stir in coconut, cashews and dates.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven about 20 minutes, or until done.
